Lida Perry

Lida was born in the North-East of Italy.
She attended a teacher’s College and after graduating married an American citizen. Shortly after she moved to the USA where she was busy being a mother and learning the language and the culture. In 1966 she became an American citizen.
She concentrated on her formal education receiving a degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and then a Masters in Social Work from Rhodes Island College. She became very involved in the Human Potential Movement and Humanistic Psychology while training as a Therapist. She worked in the field of drug dependency for 15 years.
In 1984, she moved back to Milano working as the director of a Center for Abused Children. Those 33 years were rich with personal and professional growth. She had a private practice and worked at the Cancer Institute of Milano where she introduced Reiki in the Hospice.
She met Reiki in 1989 and took her first degree with Marta Getty; the path led her to Mastery in 1992.
She has been involved with The Reiki Alliance as a translator, membership assistant and presently serves on the membership team. She also was a Board member for six years.
She brings to Reiki Home her commitment to Reiki practice, her personal and professional experiences and enjoys the opportunity to serve the global Reiki community.
