Reiki, the “Universal Life Energy”.
When you think of Reiki, do you consider it a universal energy, a universal system? Does that mean that in all places and all contexts Reiki will be similar, of the same basic core?
In this webcast, we will consider Reiki from the viewpoint of localism, globalism, and “glocalism”. We will explore Reiki in its earlier and its later forms, and how each is interlaced with culture, customs and paradigms – the zeitgeist. We will track narrative and practice in motion and in local contexts (Japan, US, Europe and the Middle East) as well as global contexts and trends.
