SUMMARY:The Anatomy of Reiki Initiations
DESCRIPTION:The Anatomy of Reiki Initiations explores the patterns underlining initiations of the various Reiki traditions past and present. It encompasses the archetypal phases of initiation and their meanings\, the necessary steps in the process of initiation that recur regardless of the practice. \nWe will discuss each step – in order and in depth – detailing how each manifests in different initiations\, what purpose and functions they fulfil within the initiation\, how they interplay as a whole\, what they tell us about Reiki and our roles as masters and initiates\, and how to empower and maximize their efficacy. An initiation protocol or parts of initiation protocols will be shared as means to explain these concepts. \nThe focus of the workshop is the enrichment of the participants’ understanding of the initiation process and their own initiations\, coupled with a greater understanding of the unifying factors among Reiki initiations – not learning a new initiation protocol. \nWeekend One: October 22 & 23 \n\nSaturday: Esoteric Initiation in Context + The Master Role & Symbol explores the historical context in which the esoteric initiatory traditions evolved and came together into Reiki’s initiatory foundations. We explore the special role the master plays in the initiation\, and how the master symbol ties it all together outside and inside the initiation ritual.\nSunday: Introduction and Analysis of Reiki Initiation introduces an exemplary initiation protocol and a thorough analysis of its components. Through this powerful and meaningful exercise\, we begin exposing the meanings of every particle in our initiation and unfold a model explaining how Reiki initiations work.\n\nWeekend Two: October 29 & 30 \n\nSaturday: The Master Key lays out the full anatomy of initiations\, detailing every major piece of the core initiation\, the archetypal model and pattern connecting all initiations past and present.\nSunday: Meanings and Integrations Our last day brings together all the aspects of initiation as a whole. This day is about bringing everything together towards an understanding of the meaning of initiations ritually\, practically\, and spiritually – and integration towards personal development as those who initiate others into the practice of Reiki.\n\nPreparation:  You are encouraged to view two videos by Liad Horowitz: Introduction to Anatomy of Initiation and Symbols & Symbolism before the first weekend.  Workshop registrants receive complementary links to both videos.\n \nMasters Only: Please email a copy of your initiation certificate or your credentials.
