SUMMARY:The Precepts in Practice: Partnering with Animals Through Reiki
DESCRIPTION:Most of us came to Reiki with a desire to help\, and it feels natural to want to share that comfort with the animals we love. Yet treating an animal the way we treat a human companion often gets in the way of what they really need. Animals perceive energy with an incredible sensitivity\, and our familiar routines of moving closer\, placing hands\, or expecting them to stay put can easily feel overwhelming to them. This presentation invites you back to the very foundation of our practice: the Reiki Precepts. By exploring the deeper energetic intent of these core teachings\, especially the call to live with compassion and kindness\, we discover the exact blueprint needed for ethical\, respectful animal sessions. We will discuss how holding space instead of directing energy creates true safety\, why honoring an animal’s sensitivity means letting them guide the experience\, and how stepping out of human protocols allows us to embody Reiki more fully with every creature we meet. \nBIO: Leah D’Ambrosio is a passionate animal advocate\, entrepreneur\, and meditation teacher. She is the co-founder and Vice President of the ShelterAnimal Reiki Association\, an international organization that supports animals and their caregivers through meditation and animal reiki. Leah has taught classes at numerous domestic and wild animal sanctuaries and currently offers a free one hour session on Wednesdays where she shares about Animal Reiki and features guest speakers. She is a dedicated advocate for animals and their well-being\, and is committed to making a difference in the world through Animal Reiki. \nTo participate\, please give a gift of gratitude that feels generous to you and honors your own financial situation using the weblink below. \nYour donation\, in any amount\, helps sustain Reiki Home and expand its reach.
