DESCRIPTION:Does distant Reiki work? What do the data say? Currently we have a good\, fairly solid scientific database that largely supports the effectiveness of hands-on Reiki as a mind-body healing modality. But what about distant Reiki? Until recently there has been very little published research on distant Reiki\, but in the last few years more studies have started to emerge. Ann Baldwin\, PhD will present this new research in an open minded way so we can discover what it is telling us about distant Reiki.

SUMMARY:The Anatomy of Reiki Initiations - Free Introduction
DESCRIPTION:The Anatomy of Reiki Initiations explores the patterns underlining initiations of the various Reiki traditions past and present. It encompasses the archetypal phases of initiation and their meanings\, the necessary steps in the process of initiation that recur regardless of the practice. We will discuss each step – in order and in depth – detailing how each manifests in different initiations\, what purpose and functions they fulfil within the initiation\, how they interplay as a whole\, what they tell us about Reiki and our roles as masters and initiates\, and how to empower and maximize their efficacy. An initiation protocol or parts of initiation protocols will be shared as means to explain these concepts. The focus of the workshop is the enrichment of the participants’ understanding of the initiation process and their own initiations\, coupled with a greater understanding of the unifying factors among Reiki initiations – not learning a new initiation protocol.
