I am a Reiki Master, social worker, and community organizer. I am the owner of SF REIKI CENTER where I work full time teaching Reiki classes and seeing clients.  

Reiki found me in 2010 when my mother passed away.  My friend offered me Reiki. I had never heard of such a thing but my friend was calm, centered, kind, and I trusted him. This act of kindness and generosity of being given Reiki during a time of great sadness was very impactful to me. I felt peace, calmness, and comfort I had never experienced before. 

This led me to studying and practicing Reiki and gave me the opportunity to have a healing journey beyond my wildest dreams. In 2016, I was initiated as a Reiki Master and made a commitment to be of service to all people. One of the ways I am of service is by teaching and giving Reiki, being part of my local Reiki community, and also involved in the larger global Reiki community. 

During my time as a social worker, I was drawn to community building and community organizing. I am passionate about, and love, bringing communities together to create meaningful and impactful change in the world. This was very much my work as a social worker.

When I came to Reiki, I started meeting Reiki people all over the world, from various forms of Reiki. I noticed how within my own city there are many Reiki people and our Reiki communities rarely come together in Reiki.

Because of my love of being in community I invited Phyllis Furumoto to the Bay Area, which lead to inclusive Bay Area Reiki shares. This led to learning more and more about Reiki Home, a global call to bring Reiki people from around the world to come together, to be in community, and to be of service.

I am very excited and honored to be part Reiki Home’s Board of Directors.
